Auditions Advice
* Come prepared to play all audition materials included in the packet. The better you know the material, the better your audition experience, the better you look!
*The most important part of the audition is your attitude and technical improvement throughout the day.
*Bring a practice pad to keep warm between auditions. RealFeel drum pads work well if you are in need of one.
*Relax during your audition and have a good time. We're looking for committed players and positive people.
*It may help to have a secondary audition instrument.
Many snare and tenor "auditionees" make the line on bass drum.
*If the most important thing to you is simply being a part of Su Fu Du, without
regards to the instrument you play, make that apparent in your interview.
*Be flexible during ensemble time. The instrument you are put on at one time or another may not be the spot you are eventually given.
